“A fighter who never undergoes hard trainings will never win a fight”. The most important factor in competing for the demand of Journalism, is training. A student who is taking journalism must be equipped with knowledge and skills of course with a direct relation to journalism courses; He must know the proper deliberation of news and knows how to handle a situation once he is on a coverage. Equip with proper journalism ethics and knows to apply it on ground. He must understand the role of a journalist and the media as well. He must know how to provide the right context and stories for the intended audiences. He must know how to write the story clear and concise and knows the legal implications and actions in his work.
Of course if there is a fighter there is a trainer, in this case it’s the professors, the mentor of the students. A student who is mentored by a knowledgeable professor with specialization in journalism will have a high possibility to acquire his professor’s knowledge and skills. The school or the University who is offering a degree in Journalism must have its own facilities which will be used by its students in time of their practical work so that when they are on the actual work, they will not a stranger o it. A newsroom where the students would confidently feel that they are a journalist who are working in a newsroom, a well ventilated computer room which has an internet access. If all of this facilities and faculty will be on CAL, all the aspiring journalist were no doubt that there course is worth studying and it will assure the parents that journalism is a course worth for their child.
Life nowadays is so hard; your decision today will be your result in the future, choosing your degree courses will be your greatest weapon to survive your everyday life, the route of a promising future starts as you think you are confidence enough to face the world of journalism and you will never think that you are ill- prepared to face its demand.
