HE WAS the crowd’s favourite during the 2010 Presidential elections. His way to presidency seemed like a "one-night-stand" as if in the next day he was responsible for bearing solutions to the problems of our country.

On his first year in office he inherited the problems and glitches of the past administration while pursuing his goal of achieving the "tuwid na daan" as he started it in the least common ways like the abolition of "wang wang" as declared on his very first State of the Nation Address (SONA).

At the middle of his term, both positive and negative views were seen from his administration. Issues like the territorial dispute in the West Philippine Sea, the Zamboanga siege, the aftermath of typhoon Yolanda and the undying poverty that has been a problem ever since it is defined.
But the administration dispenses and proudly says that there is a decreasing number of Filipino families who are living beyond the poverty line.

There are also problems that remain unheard like the demand of the minimum wage earner to increase salary. On his Labor Day speech at the Laguna Technopark, it was observed that the President is visualizing the "prenuptial" of the Liberal Party's election scheme this coming 2016 presidential election.

Though he has assured a no-second term, he encourages Filipinos to vote for the leader that would continue the accomplishments of his administration.

Rumors about the names of possible standard-bearers are showing up two years before the election day. Personalities like the presidential sister Kris Aquino, the DILG secretary Mar Roxas, the Vice president Jejomar Binay, Batangas Governor and the Star for all seasons Vilma Santos-Recto are among the top picked candidates.

Wherever it takes  two years may seem so long for an ordinary citizen but for traditional politicians’ thinking it is just a week ahead, the clock is ticking and they are running out of time.

The door to political stardom is opening again. Some say it is a circus, others say it's a healthy exercise. But then, it will be a clash of political parties and platforms, newcomers and veterans aiming to be the heir of the incumbent administration. After which the cycle continues and history repeats itself? Well, within the bounds of 'Democracy' politics is a colorful human endeavour, indeed.
